JACK RABBIT SLIMS
OVERVIEW
The intention of this project was to design a restaurant menu based on AODA standards (accessible design).
CONCEPT
The restaurant was inspired by the fictitious diner, Jack Rabbit Slims, from Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. The colour palette was designed to accommodate colour blindness, allowing inclusivity to the needs of all users.
PROCESS
001. Research AODA standards
002. Dissect the film Pulp Fiction
003. Curate mood board
004. Construct style guide
005. Conceptualize layout ideas
006. Design digital render of layout
007.
 Receive feedback on digital render
008. Revise and finalize menu
009. Create menu mock-up
INSIGHT
This project taught me the importance of empathy in design, to create solutions that benefit all people. By focusing on accessibility, I learned to prioritize how the end-user will ultimately experience the product.
